    Man shot dead for rearing pigs in the neighbourhood

    New Delhi: A man was shot dead by two brothers after a feud broke between the two parties upon pig rearing issue. The two brothers who are now arrested, allegedly killed one person dead and injured another by shooting over the issue of raising pigs in their neighbourhood in the GTB Enclave area during the wee hours on Monday. The two are identified as Vicky and Rocky. "Both were apprehended after the incident and their interrogations are on," said a police officer.





    On Sunday evening, the police received information of a quarrel near Balmiki Mandir, Khera village, in GTB enclave. Following the receipt of this information, a team was sent to the spot.





    Upon reaching the spot, it came to the notice that a quarrel was taking place between the families of Sandip Chandoliya and Vicky over the issue of the raising of pigs by Sandeep's family in Vicky's neighbourhood. The families had fought in April 2020 as well, following which a case was also registered against both parties at that time.





    "In yesterday's fight, the matter was sorted out with the intervention of the police," added the officer.





    But at about 1 AM, on Monday, a PCR call of firing was received. On spot enquiry, it came to notice that two persons by the name of Vikash and Suresh had received bullet injuries.





    Vikash having a shoulder injury was declared brought dead at the GTB Hospital and Suresh, having an injury in the abdomen is under treatment. Both the injured are relatives of Sandeep Chandoliya.
