'Maun ki Baat': Congress takes a dig at PM Modi over silence on wrestlers' protest, Adani row

Addressing the 100th episode, PM Modi stated that Mann ki Baat has served as a catalyst for countless public movements.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio
broadcast 'Mann ki Baat' reached 100 episodes, the Congress lashed out at PM
Modi for his "silence on critical issues" on Sunday.

color:black">The anniversary of the 100th episode is being celebrated with much
pomp, yet there was "maun ki baat (silence)" on crucial subjects like
as China, Adani, increasing economic inequities, and the wrestlers' protest,
according to Congress lawmaker Jairam Ramesh.

    "It is Maun ki Baat
on critical issues like China, Adani, increasing economic inequalities, price
rises of essential commodities, terror attacks in J&K, insults to women
wrestlers, failure to fulfil promises made to farmer organizations, corruption
in so-called double-engine state governments like Karnataka, conmen with close
ties to BJP," Jairam Ramesh tweeted.

color:black">"IIM Rohtak conducts doctored research on the effects of Mann
ki Baat, while its Director's academic credentials have been called into question
by the Ministry of Education itself," he added.

color:black">Addressing the 100th episode, PM Modi stated that Mann ki Baat has
served as a catalyst for countless public movements. Whether it's 'Har Ghar
Tiranga' or 'Catch the Rain,' Mann Ki Baat has allowed mass movements to
    acquire traction, he claims.

    "Mann ki Baat is like
the thread of a rosary, holding each bead together," Prime Minister
    Narendra Modi stated.

color:black">Senior BJP leaders, including Union ministers and chief ministers
of BJP-ruled states, listened to the prime minister's message in various
locations throughout the country as the ruling party went all out to make the
100th episode a mammoth exercise in public engagement.
