Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 13 via video conference offered over 70,000 appointment letters to newly admitted personnel at the Rozgar Mela.
PM Modi addressed the assembled audience that new job possibilities are being created in both the public and private sectors. He went on to say that this is a critical time for India, as people who will begin working for the government today hope to see India become a developed country within the next 25 years.
The Prime Minister further stated that the 'Rozgar Mela' has acquired a fresh identity under the NDA-BJP government. Taking a swipe at former regimes, he stated that political corruption, malpractices in programmes, and misuse of public funds were once their identity.
PM Modi stated that when our government took office in 2014, transparency was introduced, and nepotism was eliminated from the hiring process.
PM Modi also told the audience that formerly, the complete process of recruitment through government exams took about 1 to 1.5 years. However, the full procedure is now completed in less than a year.
Thousands of young people are now taking advantage of self-employment options, and new job opportunities are expanding in both the commercial and public sectors. And programmes like 'Startup India' and 'Stand-Up India' have improved the youth's talents, added PM Modi.
Department of Financial Services, Department of Posts, Department of School Education, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Defence, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Atomic Energy, Ministry of Railways, Department of Audit and Accounts, Department of Atomic Energy and Ministry of Home Affairs, among others, are the following departments where the new recruiters will work.
The Prime Minister stated that India is today a more resilient, safer, and stronger country than it was a decade ago and that drive has become the Indian Government's identity.
