Digital Desk: Amidst the escalating conflict in Israel and the Gaza Strip, Operation Ajay, an evacuation mission undertaken by the Indian government, successfully completed its fifth leg as a SpiceJet flight carrying 286 passengers, including 18 Nepalese nationals, touched down at the Delhi airport on Tuesday.

The journey, which began in Tel Aviv, was marked by a brief technical snag faced by the SpiceJet aircraft A340 upon landing. The plane was promptly transported to Jordan for necessary repairs. After rectifying the issue, the aircraft returned to Tel Aviv to facilitate the evacuation of people.

In an official statement posted on the social media platform X, Arindam Bagchi, the spokesperson for the External Affairs Ministry, announced the successful evacuation and shared heartwarming images of the passengers being welcomed at the airport by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, L Murugan.

Originally scheduled to return to the Indian capital on Monday morning, this operation reflects the Indian government's commitment to ensuring the safe evacuation of its citizens and others during times of crisis. Operation Ajay has been a resounding success, providing much-needed support to those affected by the ongoing conflict.
