    Operation Ganga: 7th evacuation flight carrying 182 students reaches Mumbai from Ukraine
    Digital Desk: On Tuesday, the seventh Operation Ganga flight, carrying 182 Indian citizens stuck in Ukraine, arrived in Mumbai from Bucharest (Romania). Union Minister Narayan Rane met Indian students at Mumbai airport. In six evacuation planes, 1,396 Indian people have been evacuated back from Ukraine.

    For the uninitiated, India is supporting the evacuation of its people stuck in the east European country via land border crossings with Romania, Hungary, and Poland following the closing of Ukrainian airspace. The evacuation effort has been dubbed "Operation Ganga" by the government.

    Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi presided over a high-level conference to assess the progress of the evacuation of Indians stuck in Ukraine under 'Operation Ganga.' It was the third review meeting on Ukraine's position in the previous 24 hours.

    According to authorities, the Prime Minister has been informed that around 1,400 Indian citizens have come from Ukraine through the six planes from Budapest (Hungary) and Bucharest (Romania). Modi was also informed that a new path to depart through Moldova has been established, and that adequate arrangements are being made by the Indian Embassy officials in Romania to assist Indians' admission into this country.
