Digital Desk: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday slammed the government for enforcing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand and reiterated that the Muslim community should likewise benefit from the family tax discount.
"I want to ask Narendra Modi Ji, why is the Hindu undivided family tax rebate given to just one community, why not to Muslims?" Speaking on his party's 66th foundation day, Owaisi stated.
"Give it to us also. You have given us an undivided tax rebate of Rs 3,000 crore. You want to force your religious customs on us," Owaisi remarked.
"How can Uttarakhand implement the Uniform Civil Code? It cannot," the head of AIMIM stated, adding that the National Population Register (NPR) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) must be viewed in conjunction with the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). The Uniform Civil Code Bill, which aims to establish uniform laws on marriage, divorce, inheritances, and live-in partnerships for all communities except Scheduled Tribes, was passed by the Uttarakhand Assembly on February 7. Uttarakhand is now the first state in the nation to apply the Uniform Civil Code as a result.

Owaisi also declared that his party would beat the BJP in Hyderabad.
"AIMIM has succeeded in the past and will continue to succeed in the future," Owaisi stated.
"Unemployment is a major problem for the nation. What actions has Narendra Modi taken? "We have brought achche din," he simply states. The BJP has nothing to show today. Five lakh applicants have applied for the fifty thousand police department positions in Uttar Pradesh."
"I appeal to the Muslims of the country to think before you cast your vote," the head of AIMIM stated. He further stated, "Mosques are being taken away from us, and they say problems won't escalate if Owaisi remains quiet."
Owaisi asserted on Monday that the Muslim Marriages Act's repeal by the Assam Cabinet is an attempt to separate Muslims from their faith and religious customs.
"The 90-year-old law in Assam was repealed by the BJP government. Assam Muslims used to get married through a "qazi," or registrar, and obtain a "nikahnama" certificate in accordance with that legislation," he said reporters in Hyderabad.
