Digital Desk: On Monday, February 27, 2023, ahead of Holi and rabi harvesting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute the 13th installment of financial rewards totaling Rs 16,800 crore to more than eight crore qualified farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme.
A formal announcement was made on Sunday that the eagerly anticipated release of the 13th installment of PM-KISAN would take place in Belagavi, Karnataka.
Each farmer who participates in the PM-Kisan programme will receive Rs 2000 from the PM. According to PM-KISAN, the government provides farmers with annual income assistance of 6,000, which is distributed as three equal cash transfers of 2,000 each, one every four months. It was released to the general public on February 24, 2019, the day the first installment was paid.

The Jal Jeevan Project and PM-KISAN awardees are among the expected participants of the event, which is anticipated to be attended by close to one lakh people. According to the news agency PTI, Manoj Ahuja, the Agriculture Secretary, and Narendra Singh Tomar, the Union Agricultural Minister, will both be there.
A central sector initiative called PM-KISAN is wholly supported by the federal government. The state governments are required to identify the beneficiaries following the program's rules. Every land-owning farming household may participate, subject to exclusions such as income limits, tax payments, and total asset value.
