Pakistani woman along with 2 others arrested for entering India without legal documents

The woman was reportedly arrested at the Bitthamore border outpost in Bihar's Sitamarhi district along with two other men from India and Nepal who were trying to enter the Indian Territory from Nepal without proper documentation.

Digital Desk: The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) arrested a woman from Pakistan along with two others on Monday evening for allegedly entering the country without legal documentation.

She was arrested at the Bitthamore border outpost in Bihar's Sitamarhi district along with two other men from India and Nepal who were trying to enter the Indian Territory from Nepal without proper documentation.

According to Sitamarhi SP Harkishore Rai on Tuesday, the arrested woman has been identified as Khadija Noor (24), a native of Faislabad in Pakistan.

Last night, as they attempted to cross into the Indian Territory on foot, all three of them were apprehended at the SSB's border outpost. The three were turned over to the nearby Sursand police station for questioning after Khadija was unable to provide a convincing enough explanation for why she did not have a valid visa.

"Khadija claims to be a student of psychology and entered Nepal on a tourist visa. She claims to have flown from Dubai to Kathmandu," an SSB official said, who also noted that the tourist visa was granted on July 29 from the Nepal Embassy in Islamabad. The tourist visa is valid for 30 days. Dubai and Kathmandu stamps are shown on the passport. The Pakistani Embassy in Delhi has been informed about her arrest, SSB informed.

"Research on this connection is currently ongoing. They are being questioned by a joint team of a central agency and the Bihar police," according to Harkishore.

Aaarzoo Baghadiya's Aadhaar card, a Pakistani passport, a Covid-19 vaccination certificate from the Pakistani health department, a GC Women's University (Faislabad) identification card, and other documents have all been found in her bag by the Sashastra Seema Bal.
