Digital Desk: In a viral video, Pakistan Army and Air Advisor in the Pakistan High Commission in London, Colonel Taimur Rahat was seen making threatening gestures toward Indian and Jewish demonstrators in the UK.
In the video, Taimur Rahat drew his hand across his throat while standing next to a banner reading "Pakistan stands with Kashmiris."
Rahat was also holding a placard of Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman with the famous internet meme, "Chai is fantastic" (tea is fantastic).
Over 500 demonstrators in the UK participated in the protest to condemn the deadly Pahalgam terror attack. The protesters waved Indian tricolor demanding justice and held placards against Pakistan's affiliation to terrorism.
The demonstrators urged the UK government to take diplomatic action against Pakistan.
They also alleged that the Pakistan High Commission played loud music during the time of protest.
An Indo-Jewish demonstrator extended support to India and said that India's Pahalgam incident reminded Israel of the Hamas attack. The demonstrator added that both India and Israel have faced the same enemy- Islamist radicalisation.
India has responded strongly by halting water flow from the Baglihar Hydroelectric Power Project on the Chenab River in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Pahalgam terror attack considered one of the deadliest attacks in J&K since the 2019 Pulwama attack, claimed the lives of 28 Indians following an open fire by the Resistance Force (TRF), a local offshoot of Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba on April 22.
