The Winter Session of Parliament started on Monday amid rallies and sloganeering by the opposition. The opposition required discussion around the Farm Laws Repeal Bill to ensure farmers some of their additional demands.

However, Parliament passed the Farm Laws Repeal Bill within four minutes. Parliament passed it without presenting the chance for discussion that the opposition was striving.

After withdrawing the farm laws in Parliament, farmer leaders from Punjab yesterday asked the Centre to decide on their other demands, including legal assurance of minimum support price for crops.
