Watch! Passenger shares video of cockroach on tray table of IndiGo flight, says 'unacceptable'
This is not the first time that insects have been found on a flight. Passengers have already raised their complaints about these occurrences.

Digital Desk: The cost of Air travel is rising every day, thus travellers want the best services available while they are flying. The services provided by Indian airlines, however, do not appear to be up to par, and it is apparent that customers are dissatisfied. Unbelievably, a cockroach was spotted on a tray table on a Mumbai-Bhubaneswar aircraft, as recorded on video by an IndiGo passenger.

On the tray table where the passenger is eating snacks, a cockroach is visible in a video moving around.

The customer expressed his or her extreme dissatisfaction with the airline's service, saying that "it is highly unhygienic and unacceptable as a passenger." The video was taken on a Friday afternoon when the passenger was making his way to Bhubaneswar.

Ricky Kej, a Grammy winner, discovered a cockroach on an IndiGo flight.

A small cockroach could be seen on an IndiGo flight in a video that Grammy-winning composer Ricky Kej earlier shared on Twitter. On October 13, 2022, Kej saw the bug while flying from Patna to Delhi. “A cockroach travelling with us on @IndiGo6E flight 6E2064 from Patna to Delhi on the 13th of October. I am sure it got a complimentary meal,” he said.

Later, responding to the composer, the airline said, “Mr Kej, while stringent cleaning and fumigation is done before every flight, at times, these insects find a way inside. In any such case, customers may reach out to our crew as they’re always there to help. ~Team IndiGo.”

A day later, the airline again apologized and said, “Mr Kej, we regret the unpleasant experience you had. We understand that spotting an insect onboard is definitely upsetting and we take such feedback seriously. While all our aircraft undergo deep cleaning and fumigation before every flight departure,½”.

“Be assured, the same was done again immediately after it was brought to our attention. We truly value your patronage and look forward to welcoming you onboard soon for a better experience. ~TeamIndiGo 2/2,” it added.

Another instance of this kind was reported on October 14 by a passenger on a Vistara flight, who said that he discovered a cockroach in his packed food. Nikul Solanki reported on Twitter that there was a "small cockroach in the Air Vistara dinner."
