    Pollution level continues to be severe in Delhi even as city schools and colleges reopen from today

    New Delhi: Schools and Colleges in the national capital will reopen today, on November 29, 2021 after a short pollution break. Earlier, Delhi’s environment minister Gopal Rai had announced that the government had decided to reopen schools. Also, on November 27, 2021, Delhi’s Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia confirmed the reopening of educational institutions through his official Tweet. However, the pollution level still remains on the severe side.

    Schools, colleges and other educational institutes were shut after an announcement by the state government for a short pollution break on November 13, 2021. The decision was mainly taken to avoid the exposure of students to dangerous air quality





    Initially, the decision to close Delhi Schools, Colleges for offline classes came after the Supreme Court of India had expressed its concerns over high pollution levels and exposing school-going children to dangerous air quality index. As a result, the court had suggested imposing a two-day lockdown in the city. Not only Delhi but schools and colleges at various parts of NCR were also closed due to pollution. The stakeholders are advised to keep track of any further announcements to update Delhi Schools, Colleges reopening.
