Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will face the first no-confidence motion in Parliament on Tuesday. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will also be watched closely by the people as he will take part in the no-confidence motion debate on Tuesday.

Rahul Gandhi visited Manipur in June, so it will be interesting to see what he has to say regarding the violence there in Parliament.

Rahul Gandhi gave the much-discussed "hug-and-wink" during the first no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government in 2018 during the debate.

After being expelled from the House of Parliament for four months, Rahul Gandhi returned as an MP on Monday.

Following the Supreme Court's relief to him in the criminal defamation case involving his 'Modi surname' statements, his disqualification from the Lok Sabha was revoked.

The opposition wanted the Prime Minister to address the Manipur issue in Parliament, thus on July 26 Gaurav Gogoi admitted the no-confidence motion by the Congress.

Three days have been set aside by the Lok Sabha business advisory committee for deliberation of the resolution of no confidence. On August 10, PM Modi will reply to the motion.

On July 20, 2018, the Telugu Desam Party, a former ally of the BJP, filed a notice against the alleged non-allocation of funding to Andhra Pradesh. As a result, PM Modi was subject to his first no-confidence motion in Parliament.

The motion was defeated by the Modi government by 199 votes after a 12-hour debate. The opposition group received just 126 votes in support of the resolution, compared to 325 for the BJP-led NDA alliance.

Even though the Modi government is expected to face its second no-trust motion in 2023, the odds are overwhelmingly in its favor.

The BJP alone has 301 seats in a House where the midpoint is 272. The ruling party is anticipated to pass this test with the help of its NDA partners. For its Lok Sabha MPs to be present in the House from August 7 to August 11, the BJP has issued a three-line whip.

However, the I.N.D.I.A. opposition group, which backed this resolution as Congress moved it, claims the goal of this exercise is not to increase the number of votes but to compel PM Modi to address the Manipur issue in Parliament.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will take part in the highly anticipated no-confidence discussion on Tuesday. He's scheduled to speak tomorrow at around 12 noon.
