Additionally, passengers will benefit from improved toilet illumination, touch-sensitive reading lamps, and innovative roller blind fabric.
According to a media agency report, the new Vande Bharat train has fastening hooks for connecting wheelchairs in driving trailer coaches and an anti-climbing system that is expected to increase safety for passengers with special requirements.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had stated that the new colouring of the indigenous train's 28th rake is "inspired by the Indian Tricolour."
ICF will have produced over 70,000 coaches since its foundation in 1955, the most of any passenger coach manufacturer in the world, during the second week of October 2022.
With the addition of 25 new routes this year, India currently has 25 pairs of Vande Bharat services, 18 of which will be operational in 2023. The Prime Minister launched the first Vande Bharat Express between New Delhi and Varanasi on February 15, 2019.
Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high-speed, self-propelled train set manufactured in India. The train includes cutting-edge passenger amenities, making travel faster, more comfortable, and more convenient for travellers. It was originally named Train 18 and was built at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.
