Digital Desk: Anumula Revanth Reddy, the driving force behind Telangana Congress's resounding triumph in the November 30 Assembly polls, ascended to the position of the state's second Chief Minister today in a grand ceremony witnessed by a massive crowd of nearly 1 lakh at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium in Hyderabad.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office to Reddy, along with 11 members of his cabinet, marking a significant moment in the state's political landscape. Among those sworn in was Mallu Bhatti Vikaramarka as Deputy Chief Minister, signifying a unified front despite initial internal party dissent.

The presence of political heavyweights including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar added grandeur to the event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to Reddy, pledging complete support for Telangana's progress.

Reddy's journey to the Chief Minister's chair has been rife with challenges. His pivotal role in leading the Congress to victory against the incumbent Bharat Rashtra Samithi under K Chandrashekar Rao's leadership earned him the moniker 'Tiger Revanth.'

However, controversies emerged as detractors within the party pointed to corruption allegations and questioned his integrity regarding the distribution of poll tickets. Nonetheless, Reddy's strategic allocation of tickets to his loyalists significantly bolstered his position within the party, ultimately securing his elevation to the top post.

Having spent the last two years spearheading aggressive campaigns against the KCR-led government, Reddy's tenacity and grassroots activism played a pivotal role in the Congress's resurgence. His supporters credit him with revitalizing the party's presence in the state.

Now in the seat of power, Reddy faces an uphill task of fulfilling the promises made during the election campaign and gearing up for the imminent Lok Sabha elections scheduled in six months. The expectations riding on his tenure are immense, with a keen eye on how he navigates the challenges ahead.

As Anumula Revanth Reddy assumes the role of Telangana's Chief Minister, the spotlight remains on his ability to translate promises into action and steer the state towards a path of progress and development, setting the tone for the forthcoming electoral battles.
