Digital Desk : A new controversy has erupted between singers Diljit Dosanjh and AP Dhillon. It took centre stage during AP Dhillon's concert in Chandigarh where he accused Diljit of blocking him on Instagram.
Kupwara: District administration of Kupwara imposed restrictions on the storage, sale, possession, use and transport of drones, unnamed aerial vehicles in the district on Wednesday.
The order of restriction comes after an explosive-laden drone attack on the Jammu airbase.
District Magistrate Imam Din said, “Keeping in view the security situation apart from concerns of breach and privacy, nuisance and trespass, it is extremely dangerous to let unmanned aerial vehicles wander around in the skies within the territorial jurisdiction of district Kupwara.”
Moreover, the Magistrate added that the decentralized airspace access has to be regulated in view of recent episodes of drones posing threat to security infrastructure as reported by the reliable source and the media.
As per the report, the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has provided standard operation protocols to regulate the use of drones in terms of weight classification, generation of unique identification numbers, height/altitude restrictions, speed restrictions, enforcement action, etc.
Further, the order stated that a person who has drones cameras or similar kinds of unnamed aerial vehicles should hand over the same to the local police with a valid receipt.
Earlier, the district administration of Rajouri, Srinagar, Baramulla and Kathua had also issued similar orders to ban the storage, sale or possession and use and transport of drones, unnamed aerial vehicles in the districts.
