lose Blue Tick
Many
high-profile celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Alia
Bhatt, as well as politicians such as CM Yogi Adityanath, Rahul Gandhi, and
Priyanka Gandhi, and cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, lost their
verified blue ticks following Twitter's decision.
Elon
Musk then restored the badge for users with over a million followers and even
stated that he was personally paying for some celebrities' Twitter Blue
subscriptions in order for them to keep their checkmarks. Basketball player
LeBron James, Star Trek actor William Shatner, and author Stephen King were
among those honoured. According to the company's new policy, consumers must pay
$8 per month for the badge.
Some
celebrities, though, have paid for the subscription. Amitabh Bachchan, the
actor, said that despite paying the costs, his blue tick vanished. In a tweet,
he asked 'Twitter bhaiya' to restore his blue tick so that people know his
account is legitimate. The great actor also stated that he makes the request
with his palms folded. His Blue Tick was eventually restored.
