    Sharpshooter in Delhi's Rohini Court Shootout Arrested
    New Delhi : The Delhi Police’s Special Cell on Thursday has detained a member of the Neeraj Bawana gang who was allegedly indulged in planning and execution of Jitender Gogi’s murder at Delhi’s Rohini Court last year, the officials revealed today.

    The Delhi Police’s Special Cell has recovered One hand-made Pistol, five rounds of live cartridges, and a four-wheeler from the accused who is Identified as Naveen.

    The accused Naveen who hails from a remote village in Haryana has several other cases lodged against him, the police records of various police stations in Delhi confirmed it.

    Naveen has been arrested several times in cases of MCOCA, attempt to murder, extortion, etc.

    According to reports, informers of Delhi police led them to Naveen who came to meet his friend in Muzaffarnagar – Meerut Road.

    After his arrest, the accused (Naveen) told police that he has been a member of the NeerajBawania gang since 2011 as a sharpshooter.

    He also accepted that he played a key role in the recent murder case of Gogi in which the wanted gangster was shot at point-blank by two members from the Tillu gang when he was being produced in Rohini court on September 24, last year.

    As the investigation unfolds, Naveen has informed the police that, he along with other gang members were planning to kill another gangster, Ashok Pradhan, who is currently under arrest and is in Bhondsi jail.

    The police also recorded a shocking statement of Naveen that, the gang was planning to kill Pradhan in police custody on a court date.
