Chandigarh: Bigg Boss fame Shehnaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh Sukh miraculously escaped unhurt after two unidentified youths opened fire on the vehicle, Singh was traveling.
Just two days after making the political plunge by joining Bharatiya Janata Party, Singh faced this attack while returning home from Amritsar.
Total four bullets were fired on the vehicle of Santokh Singh Sukh.
Narrating the incident, Santokh Singh said that he was returning to his home in Beas from Amritsar, after attending multiple programs on the occasion of Christmas.
At around 8:30 pm, his security personnel parked the car near the side of the road, near Gurdaspurian da Dhaba in Jandiala Guru, and went to the toilet. Santokh Singh was sitting inside the car when suddenly two youths came and stopped near him on a motorcycle.
Thinking someone familiar person might have parked the motorcycle near the car, Santokh Singh began to lower the car’s glasses.
Then a young man sitting behind the bike opened fire at the vehicle. Hearing the gunshots, the security personnel rushed to the car. Security personnel standing near the car picked up a few bricks and hit the bike riders. Thereafter the bikers fled from the spot.
Sukh then informed the Jandiala police station, following which the station officer Harpreet Singh reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
Sukh alleged that the police harassed him till midnight and did not register an FIR.
The police have recovered four shells from the spot.
A disgruntled Sukh said that he and his colleagues will gherao the office of SSP Rural at Man Mandi and demand an answer on the irresponsible attitude shown by the police even after repeated complaints.
Meanwhile, Santokh Singh’s daughter, actor Shehnaz Gill, has been keeping herself away from social media ever since Sidharth Shukla’s death. Shehnaz was last seen in the Punjabi film Honsla Rakh, starring Diljit Dosanjh.
Santhok had earlier shared a pic with her, making her fans rejoice.
