Aaftab Poonawala should experience the same fate as his daughter, according to a statement made by Shraddha Walkar's father Vikar Walker shortly after the Delhi Police chargesheet was made public.
Digital Desk: Following the filing of a 6,629-page chargesheet by the Delhi Police in the horrifying Shraddha Walkar murder case, additional claims are being made against the prime accused and Walkar's live-in boyfriend Aaftab Poonawala.
Aaftab Amin Poonawalla was charged by the Delhi Police on Tuesday with the murder of Shraddha Walkar in a "voluminous" 6,629-page document. According to ANI, the Saket court would probably take the chargesheet under notice on February 7.
The new chargesheet claims that Aaftab Poonawala killed Shraddha Walkar in a fit of rage after becoming upset that the victim had met a friend. According to the Delhi Police, Aaftab Poonawala grew angry because Shraddha Walkar had gone to visit another acquaintance, who he didn't like.
"On the day of the incident, Walkar had gone to meet one of her friends which Poonawala did not like. He then became violent and that's when the incident occurred "According to reports from PTI, Meenu Chaudhary, joint commissioner of police for the south, said.
In their Mehrauli apartment in Delhi, Poonawala is accused of strangling Shraddha Walkar to death and then dismembering her body into 35 pieces. He allegedly kept her body in a refrigerator and dumped it in the Mehrauli forests.
Aaftab Poonawala should experience the same fate as his daughter, according to a statement made by Shraddha Walkar's father Vikar Walker shortly after the Delhi Police chargesheet was made public.
According to a Times Now report, Vikas Walkar, the father of Shraddha, reacted to the Delhi Police chargesheet by calling for Aaftab Poonawala to be tortured similarly to his daughter and his body should also be chopped into several pieces.
On December 23, 2022, the court granted the Delhi Police's request for authorization to record Aftab's voice. According to sources, Delhi police possessed certain audio and video files relevant to the case.
To investigate such evidence, Delhi Police sought to collect a sample of Aaftab's voice. Earlier, after Aaftab Poonawala withdrew his bail request, the Saket court dismissed it.
