In an exchange filing on Saturday (March 11, 2023) Tech Mahindra said its board of directors approved the appointment of Mohit Joshi as a Director on the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from December 29, 2023.
Tech Mahindra board also approved the appointment of Joshi "as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and Key Managerial Personnel under the Companies Act, 2013, for a period of 5 (five) years with effect from 20th December 2023 to 19th December 2028 (both days inclusive)", the BSE filing added.
Infosys stated earlier today that Joshi's last day of work would be June 9, 2023.
"Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, today announced the resignation of Mohit Joshi, President. Effective March 11, 2023, he will be on leave and his last date with the company would be June 09, 2023. The Board of Directors placed on record their deep sense of appreciation for the services rendered by Mohit Joshi and for his contributions to the company," the Infosys exchange filing added.
At Infy, Joshi is serving as the Head of Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI), Healthcare, and Life Sciences, and is also responsible for firm-wide sales operations and reporting procedures, including large deal pursuits and top account growth.
Mohit was appointed CEO of Infosys Mexico in 2007 and was crucial in the establishment of the company's first subsidiary in Latin America. Mohit earlier worked in India for ABN AMRO and ANZ Grindlays in their Corporate and Investment banks. Mohit has a Master of Business Administration from the Faculty of Management Studies at Delhi University, as well as a bachelor's degree in history from St. Stephen's College in Delhi.
