There is no control of the Sangh on the BJP-led Central Government: Mohan Bhagwat

Dharamshala: Clearing all the allegations over Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) by media, Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS chief, said that there is no control of the Sangh on the BJP party, which is in power at the Centre.

“They have different executives, different policies, different working methods. Thoughts and culture are of the Sangh and that is effective. The main people are working there (in the government); they belong to the Sangh and will remain so. There is only such relation and nothing like the media says `Direct Remote Control,` no such control,” he said.

Bhagwat’s remarks came while addressing an event of ex-servicemen in Dharamshala.

Moreover, he expressed condolence on the death of the Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and 12 armed forces personnel and observed 10-minute silence. They lost their lives in the chopper crash in Coonoor.

At the event addressing more than one thousand ex-servicemen, he stated, “Governments were always against us. The Sangh has been running for 96 years by overcoming all obstacles. We are always available wherever there is a need to work in society. The works done by the swayamsevaks prove that they do not run the parliament; on the contrary, they take the people of the society with them; they are independent and autonomous.”

Further, asserting that the DNA of all Indians are the same, he said that the ancestors of all of us are one; because of those ancestors, our country flourished and our culture continued.
