Desk: Top wrestlers, including Vinesh Phogat, have
petitioned the Supreme Court to file a FIR against Wrestling Federation of
India (WFI) head Brij Bhushan Singh, following sexual harassment charges levied
against him.
color:black">On behalf of the wrestlers, including a youngster, a writ petition
has been filed under Article 32. According to the request, the Delhi Police
Commissioner has been ordered to file a FIR against the WFI chief.
The appeal claims that
there was an excessive delay in registering the FIR against the WFI president,
despite the fact that significant accusations, including Prevention of Children
from Sexual Offences (POCSO), had been filed against him.
color:black">The wrestlers' feud with Brij Bhushan Singh has been going on for
around three months.
color:black">Wrestlers including Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Vinesh Phogat
staged a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on April 23.

sexually assaulting them.

wrestlers. As a result, the government appointed a commission comprised of
senior wrestlers Yogeshwar Dutt and Mary Kom to investigate the case
thoroughly. The report, however, has yet to be made public.
