    Digital Desk: In the second year of the COVID-19 epidemic, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is delivering the Union Budget 2022. "We strive to provide necessary ecosystem for middle class. This Budget hopes to lay the foundation for Amrit Kal from India at 75 to India at 100," Ms Sitharaman said today. This is also the sixth Budget session since the epidemic first broke out in January 2020.     • E-passports using embedded chips and futuristic tech will be rolled out.

    • Digital payments have grown at rapid pace. Benefits of digital banking should reach every nook and corner. Taking forward this agenda, we will set up 75 digital banking units in 75 districts by scheduled commercial banks.

    • The connection of the Ken and Betwa rivers would be undertaken at a cost of Rs 44,605 crore.

    • PM development initiative for the northeast to fund infra and social development projects.

    •  2 lakh Anganwadis will be refurbished with improved facilities.

    • Drone Shakti works with start-ups that use drone technology through numerous application centres.

    • The credit guarantee trust for micro and small businesses will be overhauled with the necessary cash. MSMEs would receive an additional 2 lakh crore as a result of this.

    • Five thorough project reports for river water sharing projects have been completed in draught form. Once states have achieved an agreement, the centre will assist them in putting it into action.
