Yogi government admits there is 'reign of terror' in Uttar Pradesh, Sec 144 imposed every month

Lucknow: In the preps up for the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi led BJP government has been launching multiple projects in the state to make UP, election ready. In doing so, various leaders of the ruling party has already made its stride into the state, praising Yogi Adityanath's governance in making the most sought after region following its various developmental projects.

A study though has revealed that the Centre as well as the state government's assertion of crime going down and more development seen during Yogi's rule, is totally in opposition to what the real numbers suggest.

Be it women related crimes, religious disharmony, or caste based issues, the numbers project a sad picture of the state as opposed to the high claims made by the ruling government. Considering the facts displayed by the study, Yogi government is proving to be a failure, rather than a success.

Recently, a question raised by Congress MLC Deepak Singh on how many districts in UP have reported of Section 144 been imposed in the last few months? Shocking to say, but the data reveals that every month, at least 50 districts of the state remain under the cusp of Section 144 implementation. The data also revealed that since 2017 till 2021, more than 50 districts of Uttar Pradesh has remained under Section 144 .

The numbers though put up a shocking truth in front of us, what really concerns is that, has the 'reign of terror' really been reduced in the state? If so, then why do the people have to remain in fear and under political subjugation?

With the data being released, it clearly portrays that there is still a reign of terror in UP and numerous laws, warnings and instructions come directly from the Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath in trying to curb any kind of dissent or protests or even any act that goes against their political ideology.
