AAP's Key meetup amid concerns, after party opposed BJP of trying to poach their lawmakers
The AAP will convene a meeting of its Delhi MLAs after accusing the opposition BJP of attempting to poach their lawmakers.

Digital Desk: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is holding a meeting of its MLAs in Delhi on Thursday morning after senior party leaders accused the opposition BJP of attempting to poach their legislators.

The meeting started at 11:00 a.m. The AAP has been unable to contact some of its MLAs, according to party sources.

Previously, four AAP MLAs accused the BJP of offering them Rs 20 crore to join the saffron party.

The AAP's political affairs committee (PAC) met on Wednesday, chaired by the party's national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. The committee passed a resolution condemning the alleged misuse of central investigation agencies and chastising the BJP for attempting to poach AAP MLAs by offering them crores in cash.

Sanjay Singh, an AAP PAC member, and Rajya Sabha MP, said the committee was dissatisfied that a bogus FIR was filed against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and a CBI raid was ordered against him.

Singh also stated that the PAC has reaffirmed its trust and confidence in Manish Sisodia, noting that the CBI found nothing against him during the raid.

"BJP sent a message to deputy CM Manish Sisodia asking him to defect from AAP to the BJP if he wants all cases against him to be closed; offered him CM post against the toppling of AAP government," Sanjay Singh said, referring to and reading from the PAC's resolution.

Following Manish Sisodia's refusal, the BJP contacted several AAP MLAs, threatening them with harassment and arrest if they did not join the BJP by accepting 20 crores in cash."

The PAC resolution stated, "The BJP is very eager to destabilize the Delhi government in an unconstitutional and corrupt manner; AAP PAC wants to reassure the people of Delhi that the government is stable and that no MLA will leave the AAP."

Sanjay Singh told reporters after the PAC meeting, "We are disappointed that the BJP is bringing down governments across India by offering money and engaging in hooliganism." We categorically condemn the same.

We would like to appeal to the Prime Minister to spend his time-solving people's problems rather than toppling the state government and sending the CBI and ED after political leaders."

"People are suffering from both unemployment and inflation today, and you are devoting all of your time to destabilizing governments that have been elected by the people," he continued. The nation wants to know where the crores of rupees spent on MLAs come from and how such a large sum of money was accumulated."
