    Actor Sooraj Pancholi targets Jiah Khan in his non-bailable warrant request.

    Tuesday, actor Sooraj Pancholi requested  the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)
    court  to issue a non-bailable order
    against Rabia Khan, the mother of slain actor Jiah Khan, stating that she had
    been attempting to stall the trial by failing to appear in court.

    "Times New Roman";color:#424242">Prashant Patil, Pancholi's attorney, submitted
    the petition, and the court ordered the CBI to reply by July 7.

    "Times New Roman";color:#424242">Jiah, 25, was discovered dead in her Juhu
    apartment on June 3, 2013, and Pancholi is currently facing trial for allegedly
    aiding in her suicide.

    "Times New Roman";color:#424242">The actor said in his plea that Rabia, the
    case's complainant, had been handed summonses but ignored them. The plea stated
    that the complainant "does not appear to be complying with this court for
    a quick trial, and is avoiding appearing before this court to delay the
    trial."

    "Times New Roman";color:#424242">On February 16 a summon was issued for Rabia
    to show up in court on March 22. However, she stated in her response that she
    needed four weeks to prepare because she was unable to stay present due to an
    unforeseen incident. She said that because of the ruptured hot water pipe, her
    apartment had flooded, and she would need time to restore it. Additionally, she
    said that she couldn't plan a quick trip from London to India.
