After the blast at Punjab Police intelligence office in Mohali, NIA dispatched a team

At around 8 p.m., the RPG did not blow up but only broke the glass door and window panes.

Digital Desk: A bomb explosion occurred at the Mohali Police intelligence headquarters on Monday night. The National Investigation Agency will send a team to the office to investigate the matter.

The minor explosion caused damage to property and windows on the third floor at Punjab Police's intelligence headquarters in Mohali.

According to Mohali Superintendent for Police Harvinder Sandhu, a rocket-propelled gun (RPG) was fired at the building. The National Investigation Agency will investigate the intelligence office.

Rocket-propelled grenades are shoulder-fired weapons that fire missiles and have an explosive warhead. Most RPGs can be carried by just one person, making them ideal for anti-tank weapons.

Shortly after the explosion, the police sealed off the surrounding area, and the Senior Superintendent was dispatched to the scene. The emergency has been declared.

According to the Mohali Police, an official statement stated that a minor explosion was detected at Sector 77, SAS Nagar, Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters. No damage has been reported. Senior police officers arrived on the scene to conduct an investigation. The police have sent forensic teams. "

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has asked for a thorough police investigation into the incident.

The former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh tweeted: "Shocked" to learn about the attack on the Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarter in Mohali. Thankfully, no one was injured. This brazen attack against our police force is deeply troubling. I urge CM Bhagwant to bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible. "

The bombing took place just one day after the Punjab Police stopped a terrorist attack in the Tarn Taran region of the province and detained two terrorists.
