Desk: On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J P Nadda
will meet with Devendra Fadnavis, the party's Maharashtra leader, to examine
the state's developments after senior Shiv Sena leader and minister Eknath
Shinde, along with as many as 20 MLAs, decamped to Surat, Gujarat.

    The
decision by Eknath Shinde and other MLAs to go to a BJP-controlled state is
considered as a challenge to Maharashtra's Maha Vikas Aghadi administration,
and BJP sources say the party's top leadership is considering its next step.

    Nitin
Gadkari, a Maharashtra-born Union minister, is also on his way to Delhi.
Fadnavis had gone earlier in the day for Delhi.

    "If
an Eknath Shinde-led group makes an offer, we will certainly examine it,"
BJP Maharashtra unit president Chandrakant Patil told the reporters. We are a
political organisation. "Despite the fact that what transpired was a Sena
internal matter, the BJP is concerned because it was the BJP's oldest alliance
partner with a more than 25-year connection," he added.

    Patil also
alluded to Eknath Shinde's alleged dissatisfaction with the Shiv Sena. Sanjay
Raut's over-smartness will cost the Shiv Sena dearly. The current crisis is a
sign of this, as long-serving leaders are humiliated. "Moreover, the
entire political establishment is aware of Raut's agenda.

    Meanwhile,
Ekanath Shinde was sacked as the Shiv Sena chief whip and MLA Ajay Chaudhary
    was given that post.
