    AN-94 Russian Assault Rifle, Fake Licence Plates Used to Kill Sidhu Moosewala: Reports
    Sidhu Moose Wala contested for the Punjab assembly in this year's election on a Congress ticket from Mansa but was defeated by AAP candidate Vijay Singla by 63,000 votes.

    Digital Desk: Punjabi Singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Jawaharke village, Mansa district, on Sunday (May 29).

    According to reports, an AN-94 Russian assault rifle and an Avtomat Nikonova model from 1994 were used to kill the singer.

    In the meantime, the number plates of the vehicles used to murder Sidhu Moose Wala have been found to be fake.

    Following the discovery of the car with fake number plates, IG Pradeep Yadav stated that the killers would be apprehended soon. He stated, "We have a lot of leads."

    According to Punjab senior officer VK Bhawra, around 30 rounds were fired at Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala, with the bullets coming from at least three different weapons.

    Notably, three AK-94 rifle bullets were retrieved at the scene. For the first time in a Punjab gang war, an AN-94 has been used.

    As per the reports of the Director-General of Police (DGP), the singer left his home at around 4:30 pm and was shot and killed an hour later.

    Sidhu Moose Wala contested for the Punjab assembly in this year's election on a Congress ticket from Mansa but was defeated by AAP candidate Vijay Singla by 63,000 votes.

    It should be noted that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently fired Vijay Singla amid allegations of corruption.

    Last month, Sidhu Moose Wala sparked a row after he targeted the Aam Aadmi Party and its supporters in his song ‘Scapegoat’.
