    'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav': Free entry to all monuments and museums from August 5 to August 15

    The Golconda Fort and Charminar in the city, as well as all other ticketed monuments nationwide protected by the Union government under the ASI, will be affected by the ruling.

    As part of the celebration of India's 75th anniversary of independence,
    all ticketed Centrally Protected Monuments will be free to all visitors from
    August 5 to 15 during the "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav," the Archaeological
    Survey of India announced on Wednesday.



    No
    entry fee would be levied to domestic or international visitors, according to
    the ASI. All ASI museums would be open to the public without charge.



    The
    Golconda Fort and Charminar in the city, as well as all other ticketed
    monuments nationwide protected by the Union government under the ASI, will be
    affected by the ruling.

    tweeted a statement from the ASI on social media, stating that as part of the
    festivities, no admission price will be collected from August 5 to August 15 at
    any ticketed centrally protected monuments or museums.
