BJP Denies Links To Udaipur Killers After Congress Flags Pictures and Report

Digital Desk: The Congress seized on news
reports and social media posts to make the connection between the BJP and one
of the killers in the horrifying murder of a tailor in Rajasthan's Udaipur,
while the BJP fiercely denied any involvement on Saturday.

At a news conference, Sadiq Khan, the
leader of the BJP's minority branch in the state, reiterated that the
assassination was a failure of the Congress government in Rajasthan and
claimed, "We have no links to any of the accused."

One of the major suspects in the savage
killing of a tailor in Udaipur is allegedly a "BJP member," according
to the Congress, which questioned whether the government rushed hastily to
transfer the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in order to cover
    it up.

    A
media outlet's "quite dramatic disclosure" regarding the Udaipur
event, which indicated the BJP's connections to Riyaz Attari, also known as
Riaz Akhtari, was referenced by senior Congressman Pawan Khera.

    Along
with other Congress leaders, Mr. Khera claimed in a tweet that Riyaz Attari,
the assassin of Kanhaiya Lal, is a BJP member.

Amit Malviya, head of the BJP's IT cell,
expressed concern about the assertions and labelled them as "false
    news."

    "It
is not surprising to me that you spread Liberal propaganda. The killers in
Udaipur were'nt BJP members. Their attempt to infiltrate was comparable to
the LTTE assassin's attempt to kill Rajiv Gandhi inside the Congress
    "Tweeted he.

    Two cleaver-wielding men killed tailor
Kanhaiya Lal on Tuesday in the late afternoon. They broadcast a graphic video
of the murder online, claiming responsibility and accused Lal of insulting the
Prophet Mohammed in a social media post.

    The
two defendants, Gos Mohammad and Riaz Akhtari, have been placed in judicial
custody for a period of 14 days.

Mr. Khera mentioned images and tweets
linking Attari to BJP leaders Irshad Chainwala and Mohammad Tahir during the
    news briefing.

    The
primary defendant, Riyaz Attari, "frequently participated in the
programmes of Rajasthan BJP leader and former minister Gulabchand
Kataria," the accuser claimed, "which has also come to the fore in
    the same disclosure."

    In addition, Riyaz
Attari, the principal suspect, was seen in photographs attending meetings of
the BJP's Rajasthan minority section, according to Mr. Khera.

It is evident that Attari was not only "close to BJP
leaders," but was also an active member of the party, according to Mr.
Khera, citing posts made by BJP leader Irshad Chainwala on Facebook on November
30, 2018, and those made by Mohammad Tahir on February 3, 2019, October 27,
    2019, August 10, 2021, November 28, 2019, among other posts.
