CCTV footage of gangrape in Hyderabad will reveal more, says DCP Joel Davis

The red Mercedes in which the victim and her friends left the pub is seized by the police.

Digital Desk: West Zone DCP Joel Davis stated that the police were looking into the involvement of a MIM MLA's son but refused to name the leader because his son was a minor.

However, no concrete evidence has been found against the teenagers so far.

The victim's testimony is still awaited.

The DCP mentioned that "Her statement will be recorded after she recovers." During these stages, if the MLA's son is found to be involved in any way, action will be taken against him.

Furthermore, suppose the role of any more people is discovered during the course of the investigation, no matter how powerful or powerful they are. In that case, they will be brought to justice, and the victim will receive justice."

Police also ruled out that either the victim or the accused had ingested alcohol. The five teenagers drove the 17-year-old girl to a pastry shop in a red Mercedes from the pub.

According to the DCP, the group then switched to an Innova car, where the assault took place.

The victim's father reported the incident to Jubilee Hills police on May 31 after unidentified youths molested his minor daughter after partying at Insomnia & Amnesia, a Jubilee Hills pub, on May 28.

Based on the victim's statement, the police changed the case and added Sections 376 (D) of the IPC and Sections 5&6 of the POCSO Act.

According to the DCP, the victim is still in shock, and no further statements will be taken from her. However, she has been sent to the Bharosa centre for examination and is being counseled by experts. More names are expected to be revealed.

The CCTV footage has gone viral.

Meanwhile, the victim's surveillance video with the boys outside the pub has gone viral. The footage is secured, and police are currently gathering footage from cameras traveling from the pub where the victim and her friends had partied inside the building.

In addition, the red Mercedes in which the victim and her friends left the pub has been seized by police, and the owner has been identified.
