Officials said the killers missed the couple's two-year-old sleeping daughter because she was under a blanket.
Digital
Desk: Two sacked employees murdered a couple and their domestic helper at their
three-story home in Delhi on Tuesday in what police call an "act of
revenge."
Officials
said the killers missed the couple's two-year-old sleeping daughter because she
was under a blanket.
Shalu
Ahuja, who ran a beauty parlour on the ground floor of the building in Ashok
Nagar, east Delhi, had recently fired two of her employees. When she found out
they were dating, she accused them of "unprofessional behaviour." Her
husband, Sameer Ahuja, was also arguing with them.
According
to police, the man felt humiliated and plotted revenge against the Ahujas.
He
talked about his plan with his girlfriend and two other friends, Sachin and
Sujit, who agreed to assist him. According to police, they recruited two more
men.
Security
footage shows that five people arrived at the house around 8 a.m. on two bikes.
On
the ground floor, the bodies of Shalu Ahuja and her domestic help, Sapna, were
discovered. Sameer Ahuja was discovered dead on the first floor of the
building, with facial and head injuries.
"They
did not kill the child because they were unable to locate her," an
official stated.
The
two women's throats were slit. According to officials, Sameer Ahuja's head was
bashed in with a frying pan.
Sapna,
the maid, was killed because she happened to be present at the time, according
to the police.
Sujit
and Sameer have been arrested. Four others are missing, including the two main
accused.
