    Delhi Police seized thousands of live cartridges ahead of Independence Day, six people were arrested in connection

    Singh recognized Rashid and Ajmal as two of the six people detained. He said that a taxi driver had informed the police about the couple.


    Digital Desk: The Delhi Police recovered around 2,000 live cartridges from its east district ahead of Independence Day and arrested six people in connection with it, officials said on Friday.


    According to Additional Commissioner of Police (Eastern Range) Vikramjit Singh, the accused appear to be part of a criminal network at first glance. Still, he did not rule out a terror connection.


    Singh identified two of the six arrested as Rashid and Ajmal. He claimed that an auto-rickshaw driver had informed the police about the pair.


    "In total, 2,251 live cartridges were recovered." "On August 6, we received a tip about this from an auto driver who dropped two people off at Anand Vihar railway station," Singh said at a press conference.


    "One of the six people arrested so far is from Dehradun." He is the proprietor of a gun store. At first glance, it appears to be carried out through a criminal network. "Police are not ruling out a terror connection," Vikramjit Singh added.
