Digital Desk: A steel glass was surgically removed from a man's intestine after his drunk friends placed it there. According to reports, the surgery was successfully carried out by medical professionals from the MKCG Medical College and Hospital.
Krushna Rout, a 45-year-old patient from Surat, was at a party with his pals when they decided to stab him with a steel glass when they were all drunk. Rout then felt some pain in his lower intestine, but since it was tolerable, he chose not to tell his family. However, the pain got worse over the next few days till it became unbearable.
According to reports, he subsequently left his Surat workplace and went back to his village in Ganjam.

The procedure was carried out by a team of doctors led by professor Charan Panda, head of the hospital's surgical department, including assistant professor Sanjit Kumar Nayak and doctors Subrat Baral, Satyaswarup, and Pratibha. To get the steel glass, they sliced into the gut.
It is to be noted that Rout is recovering after surgery and his condition is stable.
