    ED detains Sena MP Sanjay Raut after hours of search at his Mumbai home: Report

    Mumbai home on Sunday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) apprehended Shiv Sena
    MP Sanjay Raut in connection with a money laundering investigation.



    color:black;mso-themecolor:text1">The search operation came after two summonses
    against Raut were issued by the ED, the most recent of which was on July 27. In
    connection with alleged irregularities in the redevelopment of a Mumbai
    "chawl" and related transactions involving his wife and
    "associates," Raut was called in by the ED for questioning.

    ignored them because of his involvement in the ongoing session of Parliament.
    On Sunday at 7 a.m., ED officials and members of the Central Reserve Police
    Force (CRPF) arrived at Raut's "Maitri" home in the Bhandup area and
    started a search.

    has denied any wrongdoing and claimed that he was the victim of political
    retaliation.

    nothing to do with any scam," Raut tweeted shortly after the ED action
    began. "I will die but won't leave Shiv Sena," Raut added.
