ED summons Rahul Gandhi for 4th time, Congress agitation continues
On the third day of Rahul Gandhi's questioning at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office, Delhi Police apprehended a total of 240 protesters.

Digital Desk: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned Rahul Gandhi for a fourth round of questioning on Friday after an eight-hour questioning on Wednesday in the National Herald case.

Outside the party headquarters on Delhi's Akbar Road and outside the ED office, protests over Rahul Gandhi's ED grilling continued. Protesters burned tyres outside the ED office despite prohibitory orders and massive police barricades.

On the third day of Rahul Gandhi's questioning at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office, Delhi Police apprehended a total of 240 protesters.

One of the demonstrators jailed on Wednesday was Congress leader Sachin Pilot. On his approach to the party headquarters, the former deputy chief minister of Rajasthan was detained by police.

He was transported to the police station in Narela. "Still at Narela Police Station, Singhu Border," Pilot wrote on Twitter on Wednesday evening.

Workers from the All India Mahila Congress, who were demonstrating outside the party headquarters earlier in the day, were detained after attempting to march to the ED office.

Some police officers allegedly forced their way inside Congress's offices and assaulted party employees and officials.

The Delhi Police, on the other hand, refuted the allegations, claiming that no force was used against protesters. Police said they didn't enter the Congress building, but they did open the gate to hold one or two protestors.

After protestors shoved Delhi Police officers and threw barriers, there were one to two minor scuffles, according to Delhi Police.

Despite some demonstrators burning tyres, police stated all 500 employees on the scene were given explicit orders not to use force.

Despite the fact that Delhi Police offered an alternative protest site, demonstrators chose to disobey the law, and the altercation occurred only after they resisted incarceration, according to police.

The President of the Indian Youth Congress, Srinivas BV, was manhandled by the Delhi Police while demonstrating at the party's headquarters.

He claimed he was kicked in the back by a police officer. He challenged the cops to take him away while lying down on the ground.

Police officers allegedly barged into the Congress offices and assaulted staffers, according to Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

"They [Police] have broken into our party's headquarters." They might show up at our homes one day and start tormenting us. This is the pinnacle of tyranny, the assassination of democracy. "They're slapping employees in the office," he claimed.

According to a senior of the Congress, rallies would be held across Gujarat on Friday to oppose the Delhi police action at the party headquarters.

Gujarat Congress President Jagdish Thakor claimed that the Delhi Police "raided" the AICC office in Delhi at the request of the BJP-led government to prevent party workers from opposing the Enforcement Directorate's questioning of Rahul Gandhi.
