New Delhi : External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj requested more than 500 Indians residing in Tripoli to leave the war torn Libyan capital immediately, saying the situation is fast deteriorating as violence continue to create tension in the city. The minister said that if the Indians stranded in the Libyan capital do not leave immediately then the evacuation process will become difficult later.
Sushma Swaraj mentioned in her tweet that the situation in the Libyan capital is going hay ware as the rebel forces fighting against the forces of the UN backed Prime Minister due to which many innocent lives have been lost.
The situation in Tripoli is worsening day by day as the rebel forces of the East based Army is advancing further into the main city.
TheWorld Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday that 213 people have been killed and 1,009 others injured in the fighting between the UN backed Libyan government and the east based Army in and around Tripoli.
The Army, led by Khalifa Haftar, has been leading a military campaign since early April to take over Tripoli where the UN-backed government is based.
“Pls ask your relatives and friends to leave Tripoli immediately. We will not be able to evacuate them later,” she also added n her Twitter handle.
