Digital Desk: Two women in Kerala who were reported missing by their families, were murdered and buried in a horrific case of black magic and human sacrifice, revealed by a local Police official.
The police informed: "Roselin and Padma, who were from different parts of Ernakulam district, were killed by a couple who wanted to end their financial troubles and get rich." The couple and one more person, their agent, were arrested today.
According to the police, Roselin and Padma were both in their early 50s and sold lottery tickets in Ernakulam for a living. "Roselin disappeared in June, and Padma vanished in September.
Their throats were slit, and their bodies were chopped up and buried in various locations in Thiruvalla, a town in Pathanamthitta district, he added.
The killers allegedly thought the murders would lead to a prosperous life.
Rasheed or Muhammand Shafi, the third man apprehended, assisted them in the crime and also persuaded them to carry it out. He is suspected of kidnapping the two women from Ernakulam and transporting them to the couple's home.
The police discovered the killings while investigating Padma's disappearance. When it was discovered that Muhammad Shafi was the owner of the women's phones, he allegedly broke down and confessed to abducting them.
"We discovered that the missing woman from Kadavanthara (Ernakulam) was murdered in the home of that couple in Thiruvalla, and her body was then chopped and buried there while the investigation was underway. It was a ritualistic murder committed for the couple's financial gain "Kochi City Police Commissioner Nagaraju Chakilam stated.
When questioned, the couple allegedly admitted to the "sacrifice" of another woman in the same house in June. The police identified the woman as Roselin.
The woman was brought by the same individual, and it was at the same house with the same couple. In both instances, the third party not only served as an agent but also played a crucial role in completing this task. He revealed that "he persuaded the couple that this should be done."
"This case has a lot of facets. We now see that the couple's financial gain was the motivation behind the human sacrifice. Additionally, we learned that the middleman was compensated. The police chief stated, "We need more time to fully investigate the matter, and we are also looking into if more people were involved in the murder.
