Digital Desk: In an eccentric incident, a
22-year-old Bangladeshi woman swam across the border to marry her boyfriend
from India. She confronted the wild forests of the Sunderbans, swam for an
hour, and reached India to unite with the love of her life.

The Bangladeshi woman, identified as Krishna Mandal, met
Abhik Mandal virtually on Facebook and fell in love after interacting and talking
in phone for few days.  As Krishna did
not have a passport, she chose to cross the border illegally to meet and tie
    knot with her better half.

According to police sources, Krishna first entered the
Sundarbans, which are known for their Royal Bengal Tigers. She then swam for
more than an hour in the river to reach her destination.

     What happened
    later?

Three days prior to after she reached India, Krishna got hitched
to Abhik at Kalighat Temple in Kolkata. However, she was apprehended on Monday
for illegally plunging into the country.

Sources informed us that Krishna may be handed over to
the Bangladesh High Commission. Earlier this year, a Bangladeshi teen swam
across the border to buy chocolate from India.

In times when true love is rare, Krishna is an example of
love beyond anything. She proved that nothing can stand as a barrier between
two souls if love is true and pure.
