IRCTC updates its online ticketing system

Digital Desk: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has altered its online ticketing method, which is significant for individuals who book train tickets online through the IRCTC website or app. Before ordering tickets, users will be required to have their phone numbers and email addresses confirmed. Bookings will not be accepted without verification.

this new rule applies to those who have not made an online booking since the Covid-19 outbreak began.

How to validate cellphone numbers and e-mail addresses for IRCTC reservations:

    1. Go to the IRCTC website or app and look for the verification window.

(2.) Enter your registered phone number and email address here.

    (3) On the right, there is a verification option, and on the left, there is an edit button. Tap the editing option if you wish to change both or either. If not, seek confirmation.

(4.) A one-time password will be sent to your registered phone number (OTP). For verification, enter the OTP.

(5.) The process for completing e-mail ID verification is similar. Only the OPT or code will be mailed to you.

How to make an online reservation after being verified

(1.) Log in to the IRCTC portal or app using your credentials.

    (2) Enter the source station, destination, journey date, and coach class.

(3.) Choose the most convenient train from the list that shows and click 'Book Now.'

(4.) Fill in information such as the passengers' names, ages, genders, berth preferences, food preferences, and so on.
