West Bengal: Large sum of money recovered in Howrah from three Congress MLAs from Jharkhand

Rajesh Kachhaap (MLA from Khijri constituency), Naman Bixal Kongari (MLA from Kolebira constituency), and Irfan Ansari have been named as the three Congress MLAs (MLA from Jamtara constituency).

Digital Desk: In a startling turn of events, the Howrah police in West Bengal apprehended three Congress legislators from Jharkhand who was travelling in a car with large sums of cash.

The police have set up note-counting machines to determine the total amount, even though they haven't yet counted the cash. The procedure was carried out on July 30, 2022, in Howrah. Police have also found gold in the car, in addition to cash.

The three Congress legislators have been identified as Rajesh Kachhaap (from the Khijri constituency), Naman Bixal Kongari (from the Kolebira constituency), and Irfan Ansari, according to police sources (MLA from the Jamtara constituency).

The West Bengal cash recovery process appears to continue after Arpita Mukherjee.

A search of a car travelling from Kolkata to Jharkhand on Saturday afternoon reportedly resulted in the recovery of a significant amount of cash.

According to police sources, a covert informant claimed that a large amount of cash was being driven from Kolkata to Jharkhand in a car. Police were therefore stationed along the route. In the late afternoon, a black car was stopped close to the Ranihati junction on National Highway 6 in Panchla. MLA Jamtara was mentioned on the vehicle's licence plate.

The MLAs, the vehicle, and the funds were all transported to the Panchla police station. The enormous amount of money will be counted using the cash counting machines, according to Swati Bhangalia, the rural superintendent of police for Howrah district.

The police are investigating where the money came from and where it was taken. In this case, police are currently questioning Congress MLAs.
