    Digital Desk: In a major relief for consumers, oil marketing companies cut the price of a commercial LPG cylinder per unit by Rs 115.50 with immediate effect on Tuesday. This is the seventh price decrease for the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder unit since June, in line with falling international energy prices.


    The Indian Oil Corporation dropped the price of a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 115.50, bringing the price in New Delhi down to Rs 1,744 from Rs 1,859.50 earlier. A 19 kg LPG cylinder now costs Rs 1,696 in Mumbai, Rs 1,846 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,893 in Chennai (reduced by Rs 116.5).


    Commercial LPG cylinder prices have dropped by Rs 610 per 19 kg cylinder since June. Prices for commercial LPG cylinders were also cut on October 1. OMCs reduced the cost of a 19 kg cylinder by Rs 25.50 last month. With this latest reduction, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in the national capital will cost Rs 1,859, down from Rs 1,885.


    However, the prices of the domestic cylinders have not changed since July 6, when they were raised by Rs 50 per unit. Previously, on May 19, 2022, domestic cylinder prices were changed. In the nation's capital, Delhi, a 14 kg household LPG cylinder currently costs Rs 1,053 per unit. It costs Rs 1,079 in Kolkata, Rs 1,052.5 in Mumbai, and Rs 1,068.5 in Chennai, respectively.


    On the first of every month, gas companies alter their gas cylinder prices. Commercial LPG gas is mainly used in hotels, restaurants, and other similar establishments.
