Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday declared that Chandigarh Airport will now be named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh in his monthly radio show Mann Ki Baat. This announcement was made in advance of Bhagat Singh's birth anniversary on September 28.
PM Modi remarked during his radio address: "My beloved countrymen, Amrit Mahotsav has a special day on September 28th, which is three days later. On this day we will celebrate the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh ji, the brave son of Mother India."
In his Mann Ki Baat radio address, Modi also mentioned how the ocean ecosystems are seriously threatened by climate change and how unpleasant beach trash is. It is now up to us to make real, ongoing efforts to address these problems, he stated.
