Rajya Sabha MP, Manoj Jha claimed that officials from CBI, ED and IT Department were visiting the BJP's headquarters in Delhi to receive instructions for engaging in political vendetta.
Digital Desk: The RJD threatened to sue media outlets that published stories claiming that a mall in Gurugram raided by the CBI two days ago belonged to Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
Manoj Jha, a Rajya Sabha MP, asserted that officials from CBI, ED and IT Department were visiting the BJP's headquarters in Delhi to acquire orders to engage in political vendetta.
"I want to warn officials of these agencies: do your job impartially, but do not act on the orders of your political authorities, who will not come to your rescue when there are consequences," Jha said.
People from these agencies, he claims, "go to the BJP office on Deendayal Upadhyay Marg, where they are handed out pieces of paper inscribed with instructions as to which political adversary has to be fixed."
"We will inform the public that we are being targeted because we raise their concerns. It will cause a backlash, making it difficult for officials and their political experts to leave their homes "Jha stated.
When asked if he was threatening physical violence, the RJD leader stated, "Absolutely not. We identify as Gandhians. And our supporters will send flowers to those who are waging feuds, wishing them well."
Jha also slammed media outlets for "frantically running baseless reports alleging that the mall belonged to Tejashwi, but have gone silent ever since we came out with evidence that, on the contrary, the real estate developer building the structure enjoys the patronage of BJP leaders in Haryana, including CM Manohar Lal Khattar."
"I hereby warn these media outlets that they must broadcast an apology admitting that they made a mistake. If these do not respond within 48 hours, we will file a defamation suit "According to the RJD MP.
Jha was also questioned about the BJP's below-the-belt remark about Tejashwi Yadav, whom it has labeled a "fake" Yadav because his ancestors were shepherds, as opposed to Union minister Nityanand Rai, who was a "real" one because his ancestors reared cows.
He responded, "Rai does not milk cows or take cattle out for grazing. He bears a Gujarati stamp and milks the people after tricking them into grazing false promises."
When asked about former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi questioning the new Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) government about Tejashwi Yadav's promise of 10 lakh jobs, the RJD leader said, "The BJP leader has been the first beneficiary of that announcement."
"Sushil Modi had been out of politics for a while. He appears to have found his way back into the BJP fold. He owes us this "Sarcastically, the RJD leader stated.
