Deepak Salvi, a special CBI prosecutor, advocated for the
four's detention, claiming that the role they played and their ties to the
principal conspirators needed to be investigated.

The lawyers for the four, Farhana Shah and Sultan Khan, said
that almost 750 witnesses' statements were recorded during the investigation.
During the trial of the case, charges were filed against the apprehended as
    well as the absconding accused.

The accused did not comply with the investigative agency by
fleeing, according to the court. The defendants filed an application with the
court stating that they will not make any confessional comments.
