Digital Desk: On 23rd January 2025 India celebrates Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti to honor his 128th birth anniversary as a legendary freedom fighter of India. On this special occasion we honor Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose through the name Parakram Diwas while celebrating his heroism and insights into India's campaign for freedom. Born on 23rd January, 1897, Odisha, Netaji rose to challenge colonial rule through actions that inspired many people toward freedom.
After returning from England in 1921 Subhas Chandra Bose joined the Indian National Congress and took over as its president in 1938. He decided to go his own way because their differences in thinking confirmed his dedication to liberating India. In 2021 the government established Parakram Diwas to honor Bose's many accomplishments.
Nationwide celebrations of Parakram Diwas promote patriotism to youth while motivating people to endure and stand brave. This is an official holiday in Assam, Odisha, Tripura and West Bengal. Moreover, around the nation we see events such as school meetings and public parades joined by cultural activities sharing Netaji's ongoing impact.
In 2025 Odisha government plans large events at Barabati Fort in Cuttack during three days starting from Netaji's birth date on 23rd January.
