    PAN Aadhaar linking: Deadline today; double penalty starting on July 1

    This implies that anyone who links Aadhaar and PAN as of today (June 30) will be subject to an Rs. 500 fine. But starting tomorrow, the fine will increase to Rs 1,000.



    Digital Desk: If you don't link your Aadhaar with a Permanent Account Number (PAN) today, get ready to face a sizable fine. From July 1, linking the two necessary documents will cost you a fee of Rs 1,000. 


    Earlier, March 31, 2022, had been set as the deadline for connecting Aadhaar with PAN. Meanwhile, the Aadhaar-PAN linking process can now be completed by taxpayers without repercussions till March 31, 2023.


    But, taxpayers were required to pay a fee of Rs 500 for the first three months from April 1, 2022, and a fee of Rs 1,000 after that for Aadhaar notifications.


    This implies that anyone who links Aadhaar and PAN as of today (June 30) will be subject to an Rs. 500 fine. But starting tomorrow, the fine will increase to Rs 1,000.

    You must enter your PAN and Aadhaar details. Following that, you must enter 'Validate.'


    Following that, verification will be done.
