    PM Modi calls for 'togetherness and brotherhood' on Eid-al-Fitr

    On May 3, people all over India will celebrate the auspicious event of Eid-al-Fitr, which marks the conclusion of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting.


    Digital Desk: On the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr, Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his greetings on Monday night. PM Modi called for "societal togetherness and brotherhood," as well as "health and prosperity," in his "best wishes."


    PM Modi captioned his tweet, "Best wishes on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this auspicious occasion enhance our society's spirit of togetherness and brotherhood. May everyone be blessed with good health and prosperity," 

    President Ram Nath Kovind, for his part, greeted citizens on occasion. On Eid-al-Fitr eve, the president addressed "fellow citizens," saying that the celebration "inspires everyone to work for a harmonious, peaceful, and successful country."


    "As the month of Ramzan draws to a close, Eid-al-Fitr is observed. On this occasion, the distribution of food and food grains to the underprivileged is given special attention. This celebration encourages individuals to work toward creating a society that is harmonious, peaceful, and successful, "President Ram Nath Kovind made the statement.


    "Let us decide to commit ourselves to the service of mankind fully and to enhance the lives of the underprivileged and needy on the auspicious occasion of Eid," President Kovind concluded. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, I send my warmest greetings and best wishes to all of my fellow countrymen, particularly our Muslim brothers and sisters."
